This helped me also, but with skipping carbs in the morning to get the effects of intermittent fasting.
I eat eggs/bacon/sausage in the morning, lunch is half cup of rice with fatty ground beef, with peppers and spices, and fruit.

Same for dinner.

A fasted workout in the morning is amazing.
