Today we’re launching the #BournemouthTownTeam which ensures closer working between Dorset Police, @BCPCouncil and partners. Here’s just some of the officers and staff briefing for the day.
Officers form Bournemouth Police and BCP Council are now engaging with vulnerable members of the community as well as those carrying out anti-social behaviour, moving them on. #BournemouthTownTeam
Officers from @BournemouthPol are continuing patrols alongside @BCPCouncil as part of our #BournemouthTownTeam launch.
We’re increasing resources so you feel safer in the town and we can prevent and detect more crime in partnership.

Ch Supt Heather Dixey: "This joint approach will involve a focus on visibility and improving the area to ensure it remains safe and residents and visitors feeling safe.
"We’ve increased the number of neighbourhood officers and dedicated five of them to the town centre who will work a mixture of daytime and evening shifts to tackle criminality and engage with residents, visitors and businesses."
