Of the 70,000 deaths, 18,000 were natural deaths and 25,000-30,000 were combatants. That leaves only 25,000 civilian deaths - an approx combatants to civilians ratio of 1:1 which, as Colonel Kemp says, is superior to anything achieved by Western militaries in urban warfare.

Moreover, everyone seems to forget that, of the 20,000 Palestinian rockets fired at Israel, 2,000--4,000 fell back on Gaza. They will have destroyed so much and killed so many [remember the AL Ahli hospital were just one such jihadi rocket killed 50 ?]

What this likely means is that Israel killed far fewer civilians than the numbers propagated by the Hamas PR machine and parroted by so many in the Media and in politics .....

Wrong. Israel exceeded what any other army could do in Gaza in fighting capabilities. And if he’s talking about minimising harm to non-combatants, they also exceeded all other armies’ precautions. I witnessed it first hand; he did not and nor did any of his staff or advisers.
