@MPJulian@jennblatherwick@routledge_janet Would be awesome if PWDs could know they wouldnโt get kicked off of assistance for finding love. Or any other myriad of reasons. The system is set up to make PWDs fail.
@ubi_works@TrivialPunk Also itโd prevent PWDs from getting kicked off of disability assistance and thus slipping back into poverty. We shouldnโt be punished for finding love, but it definitely happens.
@LilHurricaneo they also need to stop trying to kick people off of PWD assistance! This is what I'm dealing with now, I got married August 2025, and now I got a message basically saying I need to re-apply but not really, mostly about adding my husband to my file, it's vague in it's wording.
@LilHurricaneo Yea, it's becoming more and more accurate every day that PWDs are on our own. Would love it if the government actually cared to help us properly (to me that would be via a UBI that can't be taken away at a livable rate) but govt won't do that, they're spineless cowards.
@SimMattically I just like how the tattoos are not only more organized now, but also how it's possible to change the colour of a lot of them, so that's awesome.
@asehr not almost worse, it's definitely worse! the annoying orange man has no right to be anywhere near The Stanley Cup or have a jersey with his name on it. heck no!
@BasicBc Couldn't agree more! We should all get at least part of the proceeds of the taxes we pay (especially the carbon tax) in the form of a UBI for all.
@dane_also @swrightKC something as seemingly simple as seeing where the smoke is the worst and being able to avoid that area is priceless information to have. the Pm 2.5 layer is useful for that, it's a main layer that can be combined with the active fires layer and you end up with a very useful map.
@dane_also @swrightKC Not a problem, I'm over in BC, Canada, we deal with forest fires here every summer season. This site has proven itself to be invaluable for information as to what's happening with the weather systems and even just seeing where the smoke is headed.
@swrightKC @dane_also Along with other weather data. If you're not already using this site, highly recommend trying it out. It's super easy to navigate.
@swrightKC @dane_also I feel like you would appreciate this site then https://t.co/0CTBHvtIAZ I have in the bottom right quick menu "Active Fires" layer turned on, so every red dot is a fire. It's surprisingly accurate I found for seeing where the hot spots are.
@meghanrienks I hope you're safe. been thinking about all the various LA/Cali based youtubers I know of and you were one of the ones I thought of. Hope wherever you call home is safe too
@townblack71 And this is why I support a celeb like @ParisHilton being a celeb, she understands the responsibility she's been given in this life with the wealth and resources she has and wants to use them to help people. More celebs need to act like her! Even if you've lost your home . . .
@Danielle0903@Coll3enG vs "____ rich celeb lost their home, their main priority is helping themselves" I have less sympathy for the celeb who acts like that. If they use their vast resources to help the little people, they gain sympathy. their records and movies wouldn't be successful without the fans
@Danielle0903@Coll3enG like after the fires are out, set up a fund to actually help the non-rich in their state get back on their feet. But that's just my thoughts. it'd certainly help win them favour, like "____ rich celeb lost their home but despite that they're helping out those with less, how kind"
