@SimonGleave Carsley beat Greece 3-0 away. That's a decent level, Greece just beat and drew with Germany. Also beat Ireland 5-0. Had one poor game out of 6. Carsley plays positive and youth, so should have been him. Press didn't like his non-singing, so we got Tuchel, who also doesn't sing.
@D41K41JU Maybe Eng were doomed when he announced his awful squad then. Because he learned he could only trust 15 players and ran them into ground, particularly after Quansah, who no one thinks is a RB, nearly blew Mexico game. Also no LB and took Livramento to backup R James.
@EnglandExtra Don't be daft. If you see O'Reilly and Konsa warming up, you don't think 'right the coach wants us to go forward.' If England played with pace and to their strengths, rather than being 'scared of winning' (Tuchel's words) - they could have run rings around Arg slow defence.
@MrTomMcDermott Yes he made plenty of mistakes, but his biggest before the tournament even KO. That's how poor he did. He couldn't even recognise the best English players so had 15 players to choose from. Tuchel derided Southgate for being 'scared of winning' yet outdid him massively.
@OginiSolomon Please don't suggest he stays after Euros. Arguably 2nd strongest squad ITW and he is sole reason England snuck through to the SF playing crab football and crumbled against Argentina. Carsley won the u21s built on the partnership between Anderson/Scott - Tuchel ignored it.
@BBCMOTD Tuchel's first game the team has looked balanced. If only Lewis Hall and Scott were around 2 months ago and Tuchel didn't leave them at home. Anderson and Scott were in midfield that won the u21 tournament - if onlyTuchel had paid attention.
@henrywinter Henry, why is Carsley not the favourite? De la Fuente and Scaloni have proven you don't need average club careers (your Howe, Lampard) to do well in international football. He's won two u21 tournaments, one playing incredible the other grinding out a win with a weaker squad.
@nonregemesse@RupertLowe10 So you expect them to only stand in elections not contested by Reform? Sounds pretty undemocratic. Does this look like change?
@nonregemesse@DamonDewdney What were Reform polling after 7 months? Boomers are intrinsically stubborn but will go down with the sinking ship that is Farage, charlatan.
@nonregemesse@RupertLowe10 People dont want Farage, he has a habit of pretending to be the answer and then bailing at the last minute to let in the uniparty. He's walking back all reasonable policies, look at the MPs he's recruiting. What policies of Restore do you disagree with?
@henrywinter Considering Carsley has won 2 u21 tournaments, and has followed a path proven by de la Fuente and Scaloni - and knows 3 cycles of youth players inside out - what makes Carsley a risk and Tuchel an 'elite coach'? FA are wasting tournaments on Tuchel, should put Carsley in next.
