@naranciagaming Executives are seemingly allergic to it because stuff like Scavengers Reign and Common Side Effects fly under the radar. CSE is getting a second season at least. There's also some incredible stuff in the French animation scene that hardly anyone knows about.
@BNolch13 Friend of mine tried this during the 2008 recession. Walked to every shop within a few miles. One place wanted to hire him on the spot, but he had to go through the online application process first. The system rejected him and there was no way for them to know why, so he was SOL.
@OrganizerMemes This is wild considering it's common to find three different bubble tea places all in the same strip mall serving different Asian American communities in both American cities I've lived in.
@vegetacil Brick masonry is pretty common where I live, but it's mostly for the Georgia red clay aesthetic. The wooden frame is still what holds the house up.
@Ashrubel@Grumpy_Paws@mikerecine When I drank Monster every day I'd get two variety packs of Monster on Amazon with the Subscribe & Save discount, which gave me 30 cans in 6 different flavors for about $50/month. Comes out to almost $500 a year less than the 2 for $6 deal at the gas station.
@TheUberNerd1993@DomainDead Yeah, the fighting is the least important thing about this scene. It's a tragedy, not an action movie. There's nothing romantic or heroic about raiding. It's butchers' work for murderers and thieves, not warriors. Amleth is a hypocrite pretending to be an animal to cope.
@FastbreakHoops5 This is basically all bulk sauces. I worked at a taco place for a bit and blended the salsa in big tubs on the floor with the industrial immersion blender each morning as well. They were taller tubs, though, so it would have been difficult to do them anywhere else.
@n9023401hlasw@herekdeckman It's from a movie based on the Scandinavian legend that Hamlet is based on. It largely takes place in Iceland and the events are implied to be a proxy dispute between Odin and Freyr. The main character (played by a Swede) even goes raiding at one point.
@tlark8@redhidra5 GW has a bunch of insanely expensive resin stuff in the lines, generally characters and vehicles that would have been on Forge World. If you go on their official shop you can filter by "resin" and "15+ resin" to see them. $39 for a single 28mm miniature should be criminal.
@AccountMus629@Ivyysmsh@femmenote That's half an avocado, so 80 cents for an avocado. In Atlanta non-organic avocados are usually $1 each, or 65 cents each at Aldi.
@reyookah It's crazy how well you nailed the vibe of being on the internet in that era. Honestly think the anachronisms are fine because they contribute to the half-blocked-out trauma vibe.
@AntoniGusto@ww3mediaa Passing a bus with its stop signs out is a minimum $1000 fine and can come with up to 12 months in jail in my state. Do you think Tesla would cover that for you?
@Ressniee I'd noticed vtubers tend to share an unusual vocal timbre and it must be the exaggerated facial expressions causing folks to overenunciate that I was picking up on.
@queerBengali I prolly qualify as far left and find the ignorance staggering. There's a lot of delusional small business owners out there, but it's because constantly being on the edge of financial ruin due to the whims of the market makes one prone to magical thinking. This ain't that.
