@fingalpimpernel Lot of people out of their minds so.
Maybe when they allow BYD into the market without taxing the shit out of them we might see a better uptake in EV’s.
Realistically they need to make EV vans and HGV’s more affordable at the outset if they want to see significant change.
@circlete@Ben_Scallan You don’t have to educate me on 1 specific thing.
I’m very aware how the current regulates N. Hemisphere temps.
Our planet can handle climate/sea level change etc.
It can’t handle the speed we’re killing off ecosystems, poisoning fresh water & increasing radioactivity.
@amonsterd @DJohnT1122 @CorkGourmetGuy Blocked 😂 such conviction 😂
Well I was expecting something insightful…
You knew everything you needed to know about everything since you climbed into that echo chamber in 2023 that you’re still squealing into 😂😂
Imagine how much you could have learned in those 3 years.
@amonsterd @DJohnT1122 @CorkGourmetGuy One of the stupidest threads I’ve read in a while.
Funny that you’re so proud of it you’re still peddling it 3 years later 😂
@JakesOlasupo@JasonLawlor1003@Independent_ie Oh sweet child. Don’t be naive.
Truck drivers are on clock cards - do you think they don’t know how to get around it?
Farmers work whatever hours they have to.
People get sent home from work with work. People go above and beyond.
How can you not know this?
@circlete@Ben_Scallan Climate change is a real issue in the same way our sun might decide to cook us is a real issue.
We could realistically stop poisoning our water and destroying the planets ecosystems - but that’s achievable - like how we removed CFC’s from products.
Action not taxation.
@JakesOlasupo@JasonLawlor1003@Independent_ie If you read my first sentence it’s exactly what I said 😂
Public sector and high paid jobs might have very good work balance but there are many people getting up at 5am and not home until 8/9pm.
Monday to Saturday is not unusual.
Own your own business? Double the hours!
@JakesOlasupo@JasonLawlor1003@Independent_ie I know lots of people who work 12 hours a day…the fact you’re so shocked about that and find it so unbelievable really says a lot about you 😂
@GaelicChieftain@JakesOlasupo@Ben_Scallan Nor do I think the electorate is stupid enough to vote in headbangers.
An end to the FF/FG love in is all people really want.
No more rotating Taoisigh.
@realLangerDan@thejournal_ie We had little choice. Most suckered up to steady the ship. And they voted in FG to do it.
Now it’s FF/FG together in perpetuity.
Services creaking, no end to USC, while parking billions to not overheat the leprechaun economy
People have had enough.
@john003@rtenews Protestors were treated with contempt and now the Govt is out trying to report journalists for reporting on it to their satisfaction.
The general public were generally a little too wise for them. They look wobbly.
A PR disaster we will look back at is my guess
The National Union of Journalists are the latest group being brought to heel by the Irish Government.
And after everything you’ve done to normalise Fianna Fáil and Fine Gaels cosy little power dynamic…
Minister Patrick O'Donovan has said he will be asking Coimisiún na Meán to review RTÉ and others' coverage of the fuel protests.
He suggested that coverage was "lopsided" in favour of the protest and that "carte blanche was given to some people".

@thejournal_ie I’d like to see this cosy up between Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael become as extinct as a mammoth.
Seriously - how long are these two parties going to prop each other up?
@brianmlucey@businessposthq We spent a fortune on renewable energy projects to meet our climate targets…
Guess what happened?
The power was gobbled up by Data Centres and we are being fined BILLIONS.
