ان کا اتفاق صرف اپنی تنخواہوں، مراعات، الاؤنسز اور بلیو پاسپورٹ کے معاملے پر ہوتا ہے۔ لیکن سوال یہ ہے کہ کیا کبھی یہی اتفاق غریب عوام کو مہنگائی سے نجات دلانے، لیوی کے نام پر عوام پر مسلط ڈاکا ٹیکس ختم کرنے، تعلیم اور صحت کی سہولیات بہتر بنانے اور عوام کو ریلیف دینے کے لیے بھی نظر آیا ہے؟ کیا کبھی ان ایوانوں میں غریب کے چولہے کی فکر کی گئی؟ کیا کبھی عوام کی بے روزگاری، بھوک، بدترین معاشی حالات اور ناقابلِ برداشت مہنگائی کے خاتمے کے لیے بھی اسی یکجہتی کا مظاہرہ کیا گیا؟ عوام پر ٹیکسوں کا بوجھ بڑھانے اور اشرافیہ کی مراعات میں اضافے کے لیے تو سب ایک صف میں کھڑے ہو جاتے ہیں، مگر عوام کو ریلیف دینے کی باری آئے تو یہی اتفاق کہیں دکھائی نہیں دیتا۔ یہ پارلیمنٹ پاکستانی قوم کے احساسات و جذبات کی ترجمان نہیں، بلکہ مافیا کے مفادات کی نگہبان ہے۔ یہاں عوام کے مسائل سے زیادہ اشرافیہ کے مفادات کو تحفظ حاصل ہے، غریب کے حقوق سے زیادہ حکمران طبقے کی مراعات عزیز ہیں۔ پارلیمنٹ نے ایک بار پھر ثابت کر دیا کہ یہ عوامی نمائندگی کا ایوان نہیں بلکہ شرافیہ کے نام پر قائم بدمعاشیہ کی آماجگاہ ہے۔

Just to give you an idea of what is happening in Pakistan’s kangaroo courts. In FIR No. 96/2023, the Jinnah House case, the original FIR did not place @Hammad_Azhar outside Jinnah House. In fact, he was in Gakhar Mandi not even in Lahore. Yet, he has been kept in physical remand for 50 days. The prosecution claimed nothing had been recovered but the court order already mentioned a stick and rather conveniently, a petrol bomb. It’s very obvious that this emergency was never about dealing with terrorism, but rather about further cracking down on the largest and most popular political party in the country.
Ideally, they would only want to keep the faces they approve of within PTI. This plan will also fail; it’s just a matter of time.
