So Canada, an independent nation proud of its own history and heritage, has developed an aircraft now helping to put out fires in the U.S. Perhaps it’s not desperate to be absorbed by its neighbor to the south, but would prefer to remain its own unique nation which also happens to be the number one trading partner of the U.S. and its treaty ally through multiple wars.
