1/3 We were thrilled to recently welcome 28 enthusiastic S3 students from @stmacharacademy to the Foresterhill Health Campus as part of their Freshman Days experience with the Wood Foundation’s Excelerate Schools programme.
Two cohorts of the healthcare module have now been completed with another planned for the 2025-26 school year. Emma (in the purple Healthcare+ top) completed the course last year and will commence her nursing studies at RGU in September.
Adam Coldwells, @NHSGrampian's Interim Chief Executive, recently visited Healthcare+ @stmacharacademy and saw the work being done to help young people learn about the range of careers available in healthcare and get practical experience in this simulated environment.
S1's showcased their creative work & new website, delivered over a 10 week PBL, in collaboration with Cllr Lois Speed & Amanda McEwan-Red collar Retreat. Norma Lyall @AngusTourism joined us to celebrate the work.
