JUST IN: NSHA confirms Dr. Dale Miller has resigned from his
interim position as Eastern Zone Medical Director and his position as site lead
for Cape Breton Regional Hospital today. Dr. Miller will
continue in his role as a urologist at the site. @CTVAtlantic

Other community hospitals in @HealthNS pay their family doctors to cover the hospital overnight! Overworked docs in GB & NS not valued 😡

Our family physicians are willing to care for these patients in their home towns, and the liberal govt ignores the issue! Solution is easy! And we wonder why the regional ED is blocked? @nshealth @HealthNS @Doctors_NS @nsgov

19 admitted patients sitting in CBRH ER. 31 empty beds at NSGH and GBH - you do the math! Community family doctors willing to care for inpatients but @nshealth @nsgov unwilling to pay docs for overnight coverage. There is a solution to this mess @HealthNS @Doctors_NS
