@Ithurts42 If (a+b) and (a-b) both equal 80, then you can set them equal to each other:
a+b = a-b
now subtract "a" from both sides:
+b = -b
the only number for which this is true is b=0, but to do it rigorously, you could add "b" to both sides:
2b = 0
b = 0 thus ab = 0
@thisjonrussell@InTheStorm2A@insanereality "At this point"?? They've always done that. This also biases possible bystanders/witnesses so such witnesses are more likely to be sympathetic to the officers and to report "he was resisting" if any investigation into the police behavior happens.
@MARIA2024S@skeletmans@JeremiahDJohns There's a difference between listening to the *song* and listening to the *production.* The post says this is "unfinished" so Pharrell is certainly listening past the production to the song.
@JaneFBNG @politicsusa46 The president you elected and admire is unable to combine words into logical sentences, sentences into sensible paragraphs, or paragraphs into a coherent presentation. So I can understand how it must seem to you that someone is "grandstanding" when they do that.
@Motabhai012 @gunsnrosesgirl3 Your other tweet says "roughly 1,000 eggs per day." In this tweet, "every 3 seconds" is about 1,000 eggs per hour. Which one is it?
@ur_rumi9 @gunsnrosesgirl3 (a) Makes it "easy to cut" by weakening the material of the pipe;
(b) the altered chemistry of the pipe material will now leach fun, new chemicals into the water in the pipe; and
(c) it's not that hard to cut plastic pipe normally.
@smemolo22@LC0629261394464@Matt4VA His one win came when the country had never yet seen him in a political role. Then once the country had a chance to see him and he even managed to piss away the traditional incumbent's advantage, he delivered his one loss. That sure doesn't feel like a "solid" record.
@Rachel_Roo34 @gunsnrosesgirl3 Dude 1: "We gonna do the tire thing again this year?"
Dude 2: "Yeh, sure."
I'm guessing it wasn't a lot more complicated than that.
@Rooster_75 @astro_luca@lufthansa@united (4) Unfortunately for them, this now blows up into a social media spat, where not only do other people chime in with examples of difficulty with Luftansa, but UA is now drawn in and tarnished by the appearance of an unworthy marketing/operating partner. 4/4
@Rooster_75 @astro_luca@lufthansa@united (3) "Unable to fulfil your request" followed by <blah blah blah> regulations, makes it sound like they are *prevented* from responding, which I suggest is disingenuous when they could still *choose* to respond differently, in the name of customer service.
@MelanieMaine @DudeAdhd@KatiePhang In a few years, we'll need a "Where are they now?" montage, like at the end of Animal House, where they go through each Trump attorney and update us as to their recent achievements - or more likely, the depths to which they've fallen.
@600LA_ @gunsnrosesgirl3 I imagined: Remove the wall and put a 4 ft bar where the 4 ft shadow is. By the ratio we learn from the green bar, this would throw a 6-ft shadow. Thus the total shadow thrown by the red bar *would* be 6+6=12 ft without the wall there. Working the ratio backwards = 8 ft height.
@600LA_ @gunsnrosesgirl3 Oooh, I love the elegance of realizing that the upper part of the red bar projects 1:1 onto the vertical shadow on the wall. Nice insight!
