A new dawn for Kenyan football is here. Today, we officially unveiled the SportPesa League, marking a turning point for our top-flight competition.
This new chapter is anchored on accountability, professionalism, and the commitment to restore pride in our game.
For the first time in years, our league champions will be rewarded with prize money befitting a premier competition — Ksh 15 million for the winners, Ksh 3 million for the runners-up, and Ksh 2 million for the second runners-up. This investment not only motivates our clubs and players but also sets the stage for a more competitive and vibrant league.
We are grateful to SportPesa for believing in Kenyan football and walking this journey with us. I call on more corporate partners to join hands with us as we build our league into one of the most vibrant and widely followed competitions in Africa.

Football fans and concerned citizens across Kenya are uniting to demand accountability for the corruption that has plagued our beloved sport.
EACC has recommended the prosecution of FKF President Nick Mwendwa and others for their roles in the alleged misuse of Ksh.330.5 million meant for the upgrade of stadiums for the 2018 African Nations Championship.
This scandal has not only tarnished the reputation of our football administration but also cost Kenya the chance to host a major continental tournament. It's time for the Director of Public Prosecutions to act on these recommendations and ensure that those responsible face the full force of the law.
Let's support the push for transparency and justice in our football administration!
The preference of corporates is to form alliances in places characterized by good governance, transparency, and accountability, we cannot take any shortcuts in attracting partners we must embody these core values.
