How to succeed trading shitcoins: A beginner's guide.

You Won't Miss The $BOME & $WIF On Solana If You Do All

@NotEezzy made a little long tweet on how to degen, which is very helpful, and I took my time to create a guide for newbies.

1. Don't Fade Strength

Usually, when a chart looks bullish, there is a good reason for it. You don't want to fade a bullish looking chart because it was cheaper an hour ago. You can wait for a retracement or enter and DCA down but don't completely fade.

2. Understand capital utilisation

The larger the market cap of a shitcoin, the more position or % of the token you should be holding

3. Volume is an act of value

You need to understand how well dips are eaten up when looking for reversals on dumps. You want to factor in its historical volume. If you are trading new pairs, you also want to be looking at the current volume.

4. Take Profits

Considering the volatility of shitcoins, it's prudent to secure profits and at least recoup your initial investment within the first 2-4x gain. You can sell gradually as the price increases or based on chart signals of invalidation. Having a solid plan is essential.

5. Record or take note of everything

To accelerate your progress, document everything in a journal and spreadsheet. Use the spreadsheet to monitor your trades and the journal to note your emotions, reasons for trading, and key insights gained.

6. Be comfortable with losses

Initially, expect to incur losses as you begin trading. Accept this reality and proceed cautiously. If you feel anxious about a trade, it's likely that you've allocated too much capital.

7. Trade Less but research more

As you begin, avoid entering multiple trades simultaneously. Instead, proceed gradually and allocate more time to observing the price action of shitcoins. This process cultivates valuable experience and intuition, which are essential for success.

8. The missor

It's impossible to catch every mooning opportunity. It's acceptable to miss out sometimes. I've made regrettable trades in the past by succumbing to revenge trading or FOMO after missing out. Learn from my mistakes and avoid repeating them.

9. Low Volume weekends

On weekends (especially Sunday), volume is usually pretty low, so if you want to take a break, weekends are probably something to note.

10. Find your expertise or what you love to do

Avoid attempting to do everything at once. Overextending yourself will likely lead to financial losses. Instead, focus on learning, and you'll discover that you excel in one specific type of play or strategy.

Work with what you are good at. There are many ways to make it in shitcoins. You don't have to learn all of them. Just learn one strategy well.

11. Tools to use

Most importantly, get a telegram bot and sniper and a contract checker.

12. DCA down

You don't have to ape all your bags at once. You can always DCA down while chart dumps. DCA won't work every time, but it is important and for a better entry.

13. Take Profits Out. The Most Out Of Crypto

Once you've made substantial profits, consider withdrawing some funds to improve your quality of life. Many people suffer losses because they reinvest their profits into larger trades, leading to eventual losses.

14. Understanding Liquidity Ratio To Marketcap

Consider the liquidity of a token relative to its market capitalization. Tokens with higher liquidity require more capital to push the price up. Having substantial liquidity is advantageous for entering trades with significant positions, as it minimizes slippage. Conversely, lower liquidity translates to lower trading volume.

Prior to joining Binance, Richard was CEO of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority at Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM); Chief Regulatory Officer of the Singapore Exchange (SGX); and Director of Corporate Finance in the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

With Richard and the entire team, I’m confident that the best days for @Binance and the crypto industry lay ahead.

As a shareholder and former CEO with historical knowledge of our company, I will remain available to the team to consult as needed, consistent with the framework set out in our U.S. agency resolutions.

What’s next for me?

I will take a break first. I have not had a single day of real (phone off) break for the last 6 and half years.

After that, my current thinking is I will probably do some passive investing, being a minority token/shareholder in startups in areas of blockchain/Web3/DeFi, AI and biotech. I am happy that I will finally have more time to spend looking at DeFi.

I can’t see myself being a CEO driving a startup again. I am content being an one-shot (lucky) entrepreneur. Should there be listeners, I may be open to being a coach/mentor to a small number of upcoming entrepreneurs, privately. If for nothing else, I can at least tell them what not to do.

On that note, I am proud to point out that in our resolutions with the U.S. agencies they:

- do not allege that Binance misappropriated any user funds, and
- do not allege that Binance engaged in any market manipulation.
