@CrumbleBitches@gmalone@Drake@kendricklamar He is. On top of pioneers giving Drake props for his lyricism, he checks off every category, while some of your favorite hip hop artists haven’t, i.e., 2pac, who was never the best lyricist. These references aren’t helping you.
@CrumbleBitches@gmalone@Drake@kendricklamar I know, that’s the Drake-hate embedded in you. Luckily pioneers, completely authorized to discuss this topic, have already solidified Drake’s position in the culture. If Rakim sues a label over a battle, guess what… he’s STILL HIP-HOP
@CrumbleBitches@gmalone@Drake@kendricklamar Drake is a hip hop artist, which is why he’s in every hip hop conversation. No amount of bickering will change that. Past decade he’s looked at as 1 of the leaders of the new school of hip hop. Simplifying hip hop to where you’re born won’t work https://t.co/aoM5Kh0dyJ
@CrumbleBitches@gmalone@Drake@kendricklamar YOU don’t get the difference. Another clip that doesn’t say Drake isn’t a rapper. Kendrick himself has complimented Drake as a RAPPER. Common even said “Drake is hip hop.” FYI Rapper & Hip-hop aint even comparable. Hip hop’s the genre. Rappers are artists in that genre.
@CrumbleBitches@gmalone@Drake@kendricklamar He didnt so that KRS clip doesnt help your argument of Drake not being hip hop. And KRS’s past comments further discredits those claims. Multiple hip hop platforms last month discussed classics & Drakes brought up on all of them. Confirmation from credible people. Even his haters
@CrumbleBitches@gmalone@Drake@kendricklamar He didn’t make that distinction. That’s words being put in his mouth. He said hip hop’s been colonized. Never said Drake isn’t hip hop, or he doesn’t do hip hop music. Ain’t even say Drake lost to Kendrick. Haters take his words & make it bout Drake. KRS praised Drake as an emcee
@TyAce99@TwistedJohnX@ImChelseaGreen She received a pop whenever she came out and she ran with an American nationalist gimmick, yet she did nothing with it?
