@SpikyCaterpillr@NetworkDirecto1@WallStreetApes With 4 kids that’s 8k in Child Tax credit and the max of 7k in EITC which does equal 15k. If she is doing 1099 she has to pay her share of self emp taxes and the penalty of not paying estimated quarterly taxes. Somebody is making out.

@Bobbythirdway@Angry_Staffer It is quite common for people to not withhold enough federal tax from their check intentionally or not. The IRS in some cases sees it as a willful underpayment of taxes and will assess a penalty . See it all the time as a tax preparer.
