@ShruggedAslef@timobruhasleft@RMTunion@ASLEFunion@TfL@REFORM@UKLabour@LibDems You make the fact that RMT "accept just about anyone" sound incredibly bad... Think you might want to rethink the wording on that... Even though they've said they are happy for a driver only deal many times already. That's an old propaganda piece mate
@jimmy_geordie@RMTunion@ASLEFunion Where did you get those figures from? Considering only 35% of service was running on average that's an abysmal effort from TfL then with "60%" of drivers
@LadyFerny@RMTunion More than half of RMT balloted voted to strike otherwise it wouldn't be a legal strike. A majority of drivers across both Unions voted to not accept this deal but TfL didn't want to listen to that
@GeorgeWats93337@RMTunion Because it's all just spin. TfL want to implement it because it saves them untold millions and ASLEF jumped the gun before knowing all the details and now can't turn back because then it wont be a "big ASLEF win" and they will have to admit they were wrong or join with RMT
@Nick89738176@RMTunion ASLEF agreed to the deal before knowing all the stipulations. There's nothing practical in that. That's jumping the gun. It being a voluntary pilot scheme poses more questions: so will it not be voluntary after the pilot? What if you don't want it will you HAVE to move? Etc etc
@Nick89738176@RMTunion I think you'll find it was the other way round and ASLEF accepted the deal before seeing all the details. They should be re-balloting their members with all the new things that came out since they voted
@GeorgeWats93337@RMTunion The other Union accepted the deal without seeing the full details. The only reason that can possibly be that they don't re-ballot their members is sheer hubris and they don't want to be seen to have been suckered into a deal
@ShruggedAslef@magicofthemind@BBCTomEdwards No they weren't. The only details that came out when you voted was that it was a 4DW with 10hr days and a paid Meal Relief. The fact that Spares and the Line Pool only gets 24hrs notice of their duties and all the rest didn't come out until months later
@ShruggedAslef@magicofthemind@BBCTomEdwards So exactly in addition to. They recommended accepting the pay deal and then announced that they were "negotiating" (read accepting without knowing all the details) a 4DW deal. One wasn't based on the other
@ShruggedAslef@BBCTomEdwards Like to see you've said "so many things" but not said what and tried to change the direction of the conversation. So what was wrong exactly?
@BBCTomEdwards It would probably go better if TFL didn't go back on their promises and ASLEF worked with RMT, like Unions should, to negotiating the really bad thing out of that deal instead of accepting a deal before they knew what was in it
