I understand that the gap may seem small/manageable for an able bodied passenger. However, based on my assessment of the carer's capability to manoeuvre the wheelchair, I don't think it's safe for her to board the train without a ramp. Why must I beg your staff for assistance??
Dear @TfL
Your staff sometimes shrug away from providing assistance to disabled passengers. Upon requesting a ramp for my mother who is a wheelchair user, the staff simply refrain and and ask us to board the coach even when there's a sizeable gap between the platform and train
Immigration detention centres are LETHAL. They are degrading, disorienting & debilitating. They wage an assault on the senses, deprive & induce intentional suffering.
Detention is PSYCHOLOGICAL TORTURE.
Shut these racist spaces.

A citizens call has been given tomorrow in Delhi at Delhi by women organizations in protest against the parading and gang rape of Kuki women in Manipur. While tribal Kukis are being killed and women subjected to severe form of sexual violence, the CM/HM waited & remained unmoved.

For those saying we should be magnanimous about the passing of the queen, a reminder that the queen inserted herself into the lives of Indigenous people here multiple times. She wasn't a bystander to the effects of colonisation and colonialism, she was an architect of it.
If you downplayed the queen's power, here's a reminder she successfully lobbied to be exempted from the law of transparency. Parliament also needed the "Queen’s consent" before legislature that would affect private interests could be approved. She had more than symbolic power.
An incomplete list of British crimes across the world under the reign of Elizabeth II
In 1952 Churchill argued Kenyas fertile highlands should only be for white ppl and and approved the forcible removal of the local pop. Hundreds of thousands of Kenyans were forced into camps.
Real question for the “now is not the appropriate time to talk about the negative impact of colonialism” crowd:
When is the appropriate time to talk about the negative impact of colonialism?
Black and brown people around the world who were subject to horrendous cruelties and economic deprivation under British colonialism are allowed to have feelings about Queen Elizabeth.
After all, they were her "subjects" too.
Queen Elizabeth II owns the largest clear cut diamond in the world Known as 'The Great Star of Africa' the 530 carats gem was mined in South Africa back in 1905. It was stolen from South Africa. It has an estimated worth of $400 million.
They were at Treetops Hotel in Kenya's Aberdare National Park. Nine months later, hundreds of freedom fighters would hide from British troops in the forest below. In the next eight years, 1.5 million Kenyans would be incarcerated, starved, tortured, in concentration camps.
