You don't actually need to chime in with your two cents that it's still good to go to the gym or whatever, because that is a counterpoint to a point no one made. All you're doing is legitimizing a bad faith framing drawn up by a right wing propagandist. That's bad!
@_carlbeijer@420CyberHell Ah. A state being just a large group of people seems like an adequate reading of all the socialist political theory, definitely. State is def just a neutral collective which we can be wielded without further consequence. Seems like a good reading of all the relevant history.
As a person who spent a week getting death threats from chuds after a similar out of context clip I wasn’t even speaking, watching “leftists” media heads or constant chatters empowering that shit disgusts me. With friends like this who needs cointelpro.
Dysgenic is a term defined by eugenics. To say "be as dysgenic as possible" is to attack eugenics on its own terms by using its language to build solidarity. This is not a complicated concept, we do it with every oppressive categorization 🤷🏻♂️
@MoopyMadson@WorbsIntoWords Reproducing milder forms of eugenics is still eugenics. Go listen to the lecture if you are actually interested in learning something or keep reactionary posting on twitter based on a 20 second clip posted by a right wing troll.
@Wizardking42@grain99806254@dinosaur_info Keep doing the revolutionary work of tone policing intellectuals and spreading right wing propaganda in support of eugenics.
@Klayton152@dinosaur_info Seemed like a decent panel dicussion, so very well I assume. Reactionary "twitter lefties" however achieved their goals of spreading opposition research by a fashy right wing troll and tone policing and purity shaming academics. Good job. *That* is real politics.
@DandyGeorgism@scott_a_ross Well done. You have demonstrated perfect understanding of the principle of 'choosing to try in good faith to understand a comrade's criticism of eugenics instead of reflexively joining cause with right wing weirdos'. A gold star for you.
I for one would choose to try in good faith to understand a comrade's criticism of eugenics instead of reflexively joining cause with right wing weirdos based on an unreflected upon instinct that fitness culture is good
@Klayton152@dinosaur_info Yes this is an hour long academic panel discussion instead of political mass slogan messaging. Glad you figured out such a hard distinction.
Since some of you are willing to take an actual enemy from the Manhattan Institute at his word, instead of @realLandsEnd here’s the portion right after he cut the video: “ Revolution is sustained by care work, networks of food distribution, medicine, transportation, shelter
@Wizardking42@grain99806254@dinosaur_info There was no "bad messaging" since there was no messaging at all. She was speaking at a conference making a very obvious argument assuming a base level of literacy of the audience. The issue is that you are parroting opp research without a shred of looking into what was said.
@Wizardking42@grain99806254@dinosaur_info Recap: 'She' is wrong because "some guy" said [argument that you can't substantiate & prob misrepresented]. And I'm wrong because [an argument that I never made]. No, you, specifically, need to read, since you are illiterate, and argue like a grown up. That is not rev. strategy.
I maintain my point about moral panics being a distraction stemming from a lack of efficacy and a lack of coherence or even a lack of power. It is not proof you are "close to power." It is proof that even if you had it, you would be wasting it.
Can you fools quit spreading opposition research like lemmings becuase you have to respond to “discourse” and let second tier journalists convince you that the problem on the left is that you don’t bully enough after those same fucks made a career crying about woke shaming.
