I’m leading the New Tigers’ Experience this year and I am excited 😄

I think I’ve landed on my theme for this year 👀🙌🏾

I enjoyed working with the Team to build our #CSP for SY25

PGCPS mourns the loss of Dr. Henry A. Wise High School alumni Khyree Jackson (Class of 2017), Anthony Lytton, Jr. (AJ) (Class of 2018) and Isaiah Hazel (Class of 2019). Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with their families during this difficult time.

Our EOY retreat was so sweet! Am proud of my teams. I am excited to see the DC CAPE data 📈

A school or organization doesn't become toxic because of a few bad employees. It becomes toxic when leadership ignores negative behaviors and fails to regularly check the pulse of the environment. #Leadership #Culture #Teachers #Principal #School #Work

Our ISA rate is up and #chronicabsenteeism rate is down 😍

[Mrs. Porshia Ojigbo @Itsmorethanmath]

Cultural responsiveness should now shift from the “what” to the “how”. To do so, leaders must focus on the how of instruction.

I continue to send my Team out an email each Sunday, covering the most important information they can use for the upcoming week.

I value clear communication.

Our current instructional leadership framework is solid. I am bringing the structure back into SY25 but rebranding our ILT minis to collaborative planning meetings.

We are already doing this lol.

We had a ball at DCPS Night at @Nationals Park! ⚾️

DCPS Standing Ovation awardees were honored on the field, @DCPSChancellor threw the first pitch, students joined the famous President’s run, and DCPS families cheered from the stands!

[Mrs. Porshia Ojigbo @Itsmorethanmath]

My first year as Assistant Principal is coming to an end but it was filled with so much joy! Thank you @dcpublicschools @LeadDCPS @DCPS_Math

Another #DCCAPECrepes Saturday Academy down … another step closer to more of our students earning 4s & 5s on #DCCAPE in May

The 2016 Hidden Figures movie 🛰️ is based on Katherine Johnson, one of the first Black women to work as a @NASA scientist.

Her calculations were essential to the first U.S. flight to the moon 🚀. She worked at NASA for 33 years and taught math before that! #WHM

[Mrs. Porshia Ojigbo @Itsmorethanmath]

Another 6-week Saturday Academy is underway. I am happy to bring this opportunity to another high school 💚

[Mrs. Porshia Ojigbo @Itsmorethanmath]

Our instructional program is unmatched 💚 I am proud to lead the instructional leadership team this year. However, I am thinking about what to stop doing, adjust, and continue doing next school year
