@DavidSHolz@midjourney I like 8.1 since it transparently preserves the sense of progression. Are "alphas" even real any more given the pace and chaos of change? :)
@CALVINGINEERING I've all we've been intrigued by inset seating areas. Not sure that I would really make one if given the chance, but it would allow for even larger TV on the wall when the floor is lower. ;)
When Grok gives me a choice of which video I prefer, and when I give a video thumbs down and explain why, do you think that feedback actually matters? There must be millions of that happening every week. Feeling a bit disillusioned. ;)
@McIronkok@xai@grok@imagine Good luck. Censorship has been a cancer slowly eroding the utility and capability of this technology on many US platforms. I feel your pain. It is a huge waste of our timr and productivity.
Not bad. Hailou 2.0 vibes but sharper. Image references in Grok are cool but should be dynamic across any point of the extension process as opposed to making me have to include them all at the beginning as an all-or-nothing mode within extensions.
Images created in ChatGPT, but I wanted to try out SuperGrok's reference image feature. Promising, but not on par with Sora2's cameo feature. The inability to continue to reference images as extensions progress is also a dealbreaker. I'll try again if they fix that. :)
@blackbullrace@XFreeze The 30 seconds overall generally works quite well from someone who hasn't been compelled enough to jump ship here and pay. Gotta give credit where credit is due, though, and those of us who torture test LLMs do have Grok on the radar.
@haider1 I hope you are right. :) For me, this is more about the unfortunate trend of killing prior iterations that have their own unique strengths. As such, each new model feels like it's brand new as opposed to an iterative, better, improvement, therefore inefficient in workflow.
@jon If XAI can create consistent characters and objects from all sides, including consistent voice, I am in. Sora's cameo, character, and reference features are important and so easy to use and keep track of, even if it didn't always work.
Grok really has nothing on Sora, though... Department of "War" can't even beat a small country, and US AI can't compete with long-term imagination. Unfortunate times.
@soraofficialapp I wish you wouldn't give up, but I understand economics. :/ What use is an advanced AI if it can't describe and show you what it means or thinks? At the least, keep everything made already still there. How much would archival storage cost you? ๐ You all really changed the game.
I still like the OpenAI environment but, as one of the only people remaining from when it was first offered at $20/month, the glitches and the censorship is infuriating. I could see myself upgrading to explore the capabilities of Grok...
