Big congratulations to Katka and Eliška on defending their bachelor’s theses! So happy to see your hard work pay off — well done to both of you, and all the best for what comes next.
Its cool to find myxozoans in the exhibition of the National Museum in Prague 🤩. Btw, see the running exhibition about Human evolution including the 3 million years old original exemplars of Lucy and Salem (Australopithecus afarensis). @narodnimuzeum
Amazing time at the International Conference on Diseases of Fish and Shellfish in Heraklion - fantastic talks & inspiring discussions. Big thanks and congrats to Astrid Holzer @fish_n_bugs for organising an excellent meeting.
We are newly opening a research direction focused on the diversity and evolution of microsporidia, trypanosomatids, and amoebae in honey bees and in wild bee species. If interested, approach me and join our team! @FishProtLab#GAČR#honeybee#Parasite
We've just published a comparative genomic analysis of Ascetosporean parasites (Rhizaria). We produced genomic data for two additional classes (Haplosporidia and Paramyxida), and the undescribed Cercozoa M6MM, and combined that to the available mikrocitids
