Since the topic of traffic estimations is top of mind again, let me throw my 2 cents in.
"How accurate are the traffic estimates in @ahrefs ?"
It depends 🤷♂️
Does the website get lots of traffic from:
- long tails?
- branded searches?
- seasonal queries?
- news/trends?
We've rolled out a FREE website checker tool in Ahrefs! 🔍
Use it to view:
- Any website's organic monthly traffic, value + history for the past six months
- Traffic share by country
- Your top 5 keywords in your top country
- Your top 5 pages by traffic for your top country
According to a poll of ~4,300 people, SEO takes 3-6 months to show results. But it all depends on several factors.

How do you set SEO goals?
Follow the SEO goal pyramid 👇
The idea is to break things down into stepping stones to make your overall goal more achievable.
You don’t always have to create content from scratch. Turn content you’ve created in one format and change it into another.
Think of it like a pyramid. Start with one version, then gradually break it down into smaller versions for other channels.
Having a content strategy is important to ensure that each piece of content you create has a purpose.
But creating one can be quite daunting, so we’ve created a simple framework called the content strategy canvas.
There are many ways to remove URLs from Google, but there’s no one size fits all approach. It all depends on your circumstances.
Here's a flowchart to help you quickly decide which method of removal is best for you.

Why is SEO important?
Most web traffic comes from Google’s organic results.
In other words: organic search accounts for more traffic than all other sources of traffic combined.
The new Google desktop left-hand menu UI makes search results feel like they're just one tab in Google's content platform.
I'm gonna guess zero-click searches will rise even higher on results like these.

..it turns out that the #1 page is NOT ALWAYS the one with the most traffic!
Rethink your SEO goals 😉
Twitter's algorithmic timeline really changes what we see:
- 2/3rds fewer external links!
- Far more "suggested" tweets
- Greater diversity of accounts
- Reduced exposure to most topics... but more politics
- Slightly more "echo chamber" tweets
Quite nearly a tactical guide.
Some SEOs worry that having too many backlinks from the same website is unnatural.
We ran a small study and found that 79.23% of referring domains link to the same website multiple times.
We asked 15 content marketing experts to answer this question:
“Based on your experience, what’s the ONE thing you recommend companies and marketers should do to deliver outstanding content marketing this year?”
Here's @TraceWall's advice.
Let's talk about the "ROI of Content Marketing."
Far too often us marketers get challenged with this question by our boss (or our client):
- How do I know that my investment in content will guarantee a positive return? ...& how can I *MEASURE* it?
