Stats are true when used in d right context. JPMorgan etc thrive cos there’s a real economy 2 finance
Investors like @Dangote hv pushed our banks 2 look beyond Nig, financing huge investments
You can’t build an economy out of nothing. Build d real Economy, & finance will follow
Mustafa Chike-Obi, former Chairman of Fidelity Bank, on why Nigerians should not be emotional about Petroleum Refinery.
There are four US petroleum refineries of the same size as Dangote Refinery. But no Americans talks about refineries. They're just factories.
And it's nothing special anywhere in the World.
In America, they'd rather talk about Microsoft, SpaceX, Google, not refineries.
So Nigerians should look forward to the 21st century.
@mumtazin May be the govt. can start improving the conditions of the patriotic teachers in Nig that have no option of going anywhere rather then using cheap blackmail to get at highly skilled professionals. You want them 2 stay n pay them less than $200/month with no adequate work tools?
You approved 40 slots and only 11 doctors showed up; yet the only conclusion you can summon is “unpatriotic Nigerian doctors.” That’s the trademark mindset of our political class: deflect blame, never interrogate the system.
Have you paused to ask why doctors are leaving?
What salary are you offering them?
How safe is your state for medical professionals?
Is the work environment even fit for human beings, let alone specialists who carry lives in their hands?
Nigerian doctors are not wooden figures you can position at will. They are human beings shaped by years of rigorous training, personal sacrifice, and financial strain. If, after all of that, they still can’t feed their families, what moral authority do you have to demand patriotism? Hunger has a philosophy of its own; and it is always louder than rhetoric.
For two weeks, NARD has been on strike and the silence from leadership has been resounding. Yet somehow, the “problem” is that doctors want a life of dignity and security. It is intellectually dishonest and morally bankrupt to call them unpatriotic for refusing to suffer endlessly in a system that gives nothing back.
@chude__ As if majority of the schools in the south are computer equipped.
It’s actually good that people are concerned with their regions because that’s where they know, please let’s not all deceive ourselves into believing that Lagos or even PH is same as all southern states.
@Dr_AliyuTilde The pastor is unfortunately ignorant of what is VAT and this narrative is championed aggressively. We demand a breakdown of what each company sales in each state or we states create boarders…..
@2geeMurphy@IU_Wakilii Pls go and check history of how @MBuhari campaigned within d int. community for NOI to become DG WTO. In his words, “we will not rest until you are elected for d job”, - on Quota System, go and learn about DE&I, without which NOI or any African wouldn’t have headed WTO or UN
@woye1 Don’t misrepresent data and say Data don’t lie. The whole VAT collection model and remittance does not show real consumption of goods and services in Nigeria.
Except if out of mischief you are saying that companies that remit their VAT from Lagos, carry out business only in Lagos

@DeeOneAyekooto When the president has bought himself new aircraft at $100million and spent over N8Billion on travels with his vice, what do you expect governors to do also.
Our problem is not lack of money but the policies making what we have powerless
@DeeOneAyekooto You are now talking about 2 weeks deadline amidst the drama and distraction your principal’s agent caused. Abeg sit well, last last Dangote he will succeed and Nigeria will win
@OpeBee What do you mean by subsidised $?
Better wake up if you’re still sleeping!
The policy blunder by d current admin to use road side rates “market forces” to benchmark CBN rates is d worst economic policy we’ve ever seen. Everyone is crying foul now, saying Naira is under priced
