Please retweet, why can't the public adopt a stray dog from a council pound? #UK The councils will say they do not have the resources to assess all dogs and potential homes. The solution is to stop so many dogs arriving at council pounds, halt licensed breeding, stop unlicensed breeding and ban online pet selling sites.
New legislation is needed re ownership‼️
Councils are still issuing new licenses to breed‼️

Zorro the 11-month-old Husky cross GSD is URGENTLY looking for a foster placement with us. He is due to be PTS this afternoon with another organisation due to being extremely mouthy when bored.
Zorro is a typical bouncy puppy needing boundaries and training. He would suit a home with no children due to his boisterous nature. No cats and slow introductions to other dogs.
He currently is isolated in kennels due to a illness which is why he is bored and mouthing more when playing.

After 7 days, if a dog in a council pound has not been claimed, he becomes the property of the council and can be sent to a rescue shelter or put to sleep if no shelter spaces are available. Rescue Shelters across the UK are full
Some councils try harder to re home dogs than others. As required by law, put your ID on your dog's collar and make sure his microchip details are registered on a database and up to date.

Please share so we can find these four dogs homes💔'It feels like we’re fighting a losing battle … we get our hopes up when one of our dogs gets some interest (even for foster homes), sometimes allow ourselves to dare to plan ahead and start to think about the next dog who’s desperately needing our help (their plights are sent to us daily)… only for everything to fall through (no fault of any of the dogs) …. We then have to cancel the space for the next needy dog who may lose their lives …. Not to mention the heartbreak for the dog who so nearly got a home
