PSA: Sex workers and sluts are not why men treat women poorly. Blaming women who are simply living our lives, not hurting you, for misogyny broadly out there in the world is, itself, misogynistic behavior.
Some of you may think the job of the SECDEF is to advise POTUS, confer with senior leaders on strategy, acquisitions, R/D, and other boring stuff. It's not.
It's to do PT with kids and bark Old Testament passages at them while losing a war to a third-rank power in the Gulf.
Don't like this? Then decriminalize sex work. A sex worker shouldn't fear rape or arrest when reporting a crime to police. That's what criminalization does. That's why the ACLU, the Lancet, Amnesty International, the WHO, etc. all support decrim. It saves lives.
If I thought #sexwork decriminalization was good for sex workers and bad for everybody else, I wouldn't advocate for it. Sex work decrim is good for 1) trafficking victims, who are more likely to be found and identified, as well as less likely to be stigmatized and incarcerated
This is Karyann Parkinson and her five kids.
She just received a 6-month suspended jail sentence and is now on Virginia's child abuse registry.
Her crime: letting her 5-year-old, Sam, walk a half-mile alone in their gated community.
She's not the first. A thread.
@stephenlemons Yes. Calculators removed the practice of a narrow range of thinking but not the ability. Sometimes scope and magnitude are a qualitative difference too.
So excluding the wanton, gruesome, and decidedly pagan slaughter of women is evidence that a film wasn’t “Christianized.” Amazing how often the New Right suggests that misogyny is consistent with Christian values and respect for women isn’t.
@MissAddie_V@Penelope_WestDC I would struggle (generally) to come up with the comparison from scratch, but with it having been suggested, I can see it.
some men are so afraid of “catching feelings” for a Domme that they forget something important: submission without emotional connection often feels empty.
there’s nothing shameful about deeply admiring a woman who inspires something meaningful inside you
@mistressninamar It was nerve-wracking at first, but then mostly exploratory of a bunch of kinks (informed by a pre-session questionnaire). It & she was amazing - took thinking back on it quite a lot to realize some of her approach. We hit it off, and I'm still seeing her.
@MinaQKye The state bar in your state will have public rules governing their professional obligations and responsibilities, including regarding your case and records. Knowing what those are is a key step.
