S & P global establishing their branch in Nigeria has automatically made Nigeria the pricing Energy benchmark for Africa✊🏽
African crude and refined products have heavily relied on European price benchmarks (like Brent or Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp prices).
With the massive scaling up of local refining capabilities, such as the Dangote Refinery, S&P Global's presence will help build localized petroleum pricing benchmarks. This transitions Nigeria from just an exporter of raw crude to a dominant pricing hub for refined oil across Africa.
In the mining sector:
Investors globally use S&P Global's Platts benchmarks to trade metals and minerals. By analyzing Nigeria's mining fields on-the-ground, S&P can help establish transparent localized pricing for Nigerian solid minerals, ensuring local miners are not cheated on pricing by middle-men.
I never thought Nigeria will get to this stage so fast 😭😭😩
And they keep shouting “3.0” 😢, while deep down, they all know it is simply “3. Jibiti Remix.”
Yet, some “Onijẹkujẹ” continue to clamour for the continuity of a system that has failed to deliver genuine LG autonomy.
The question remains: Are we still going to continue entrusting the resources of Oyo State to the same set of “Jibitiano”? 😭😭😭
Note: This is Saki, Oyo State, Nigeria.
Radionic Seyi Makinde is hell bent on finishing the people of Oyo State, especially Ibadan. What have they done to deserve this?
The money meant for these roads is being diverted to his presidential campaign, while he is already parading Adekanmbi to continue his OMI GBONA 3.0 agenda.
Oyo people deserve better.
Ati streetlights powered by diesel, ati the ones powered by the failed 11MW Hybrid Independent Power Project, none of them is currently working in Ibadan and maybe none in Oyo state Generally,
This is Ring Road, Ibadan today.
By the end of the day, you will still hear the huge amount of money budgeted and expended on running these streetlights, and you will begin to wonder which part of Oyo State are these streetlights actually working.
Money is being spent, but where is the light? 🤔
"Soludo and Umahi working to bring down Peter Obi. They know they don't stand a chance against him in the South East"
– Obidient Spokesperson, Mairo-Ese defends Peter Obi
How can an electrical engineer who used diesel to power solar lights know about economics?
In 2022, I went to see friends in apete. Immediately it was 7pm, you would see all those diesel-powered generators across Ibadan working.
I asked what they were being used for, and I was told they were used to power the solar streetlights. You would even see police patrols going around to check against vandalism.
I burst into laughter that day.
Ikolaba President got exposed..
Makinde’s claims have been exposed again on our IGR and FAAC.
Rotus Odiri’s analysis shows that Oyo State’s IGR alone could not fund the wage bill. Seyi Makinde is downplaying the impact of FAAC instead of being accountable and transparent about all funds generated and received..
Man yẹn mase palaba ẹsin ni 2027..
The fact remains that Neither Peter Obi, Kwankwaso, Atiku, Sowore, Makinde and other candidates, have nothing different to offer Nigerians than what President Tinibu is Doing now aside from pushing propaganda 🙄
"Support groups don't play the role of a political party."
NDC National Leader Seriake Dickson says parties can have multiple support groups, but their responsibilities should remain separate from those of political organisations.
Seyi Makinde is proving to be one of the most useless governors Oyo State has ever had.
The good thing is that Oyo people are beginning to see through the hypocrisy and realise just how wicked this administration can be.
