@British_Airways Thanks Liz. We are really confused about our Avios accounts. I've sorted out mine but my wife hasn't so we look forward to contact with the EC team.
@British_Airways Hi Kaycher.
Thanks for getting back. I've been on holiday so not replied until now. I need to sort out my wife's Avios account. She has written to BA without reply and been told that her current Avios points will be lost on 19th Aug. Communication by phone has been impossible.
@Nestfinders5978 I've only ever found 1 Tree Pipit nest with a Cuckoo. It failed, the young Cuckoo apparently deserted by the pipits. I've always wondered whether the desertion was due to something happening to the pipits or them deciding that the beast in their nest just wasn't right!
@DerykTolman Personally i have been looking at tree pipit nesting habits since the late 90s,this is my 4th cuckoo in tree pipits nests and the 1st rejection.meadow pipits ,reed warbs etc some of these individuals reject cuckoo eggs.
#Woodlarks Currently three active nests, two sitting and one about half built. Colour-ringed adults great aid to distinguish pairs and their territories.
First Dartford Warbler nest today with 4 young. Early date for DW to be at this stage. I think the population will be well up on last year and signs look good for a fruitful breeding season!
First Woodlark nest! The early scrape not being used but this nest has three eggs. It's quite early to be at this stage, probably a result of the mild winter.
Great to find two active nests of a pair of Nightjars today. The first held the male with one young and a dead egg. The second, which was around 30 m away, held the sitting female. Not unusual NJ behaviour but unusual to find both nests within a few minutes.
4 Little Ringed Plover chicks left nest on B&LV today. Thanks to positive response from MOD the nest, which was in the middle of a heavy vehicle test track, survived the trucks, a threatened helicopter landing and disturbance from various other activities.
Very strange year for Woodlarks. One pair has built 3 nests but not yet laid an egg! Several others have had only one clutch and then disappeared. Overall productivity very low compared with a few years ago. Hopefully just my patch that's like this.
First Dartford Warbler nest with young today. The March Beasts reduced numbers but given continuing good weather there's time for three broods and a good recovery of the population.
