We applaud this effort to call attention to and demand answers on the tragic strike on a wedding party in Kuhestak that killed several civilians, including children. This follows NIAC Action's demands to Congress for accountability and an investigation after the strike, along with the release of the long-stalled Pentagon investigation on the bombing of the elementary school in Minab. We are glad to see Senators Schatz, Murray, Shaheen, Reed, Warner and Coons echo those calls today.

This week, a UN agency found that the U.S. likely committed war crimes against Iranian civilians in Minab and Lamerd. Every day that goes on, and the administration dodges accountability, it will allow more war crimes to be committed that rob innocent Iranians and others of their futures. We must all redouble our efforts to get answers on Minab, Lamerd, Kuhestak and other mass civilian casualty events in this war, at the same time we demand this war end.
