This summer, more than 2,000 humanoid robots have gathered in Beijing.

The World Humanoid Robot Games will take place from August 22 to 26 at the National Speed Skating Oval.

While last year’s events focused on pushing physical limits, this year the main emphasis shifts to real-world challenges across industry, hotels, homes, and logistics.

The competition includes specially designed dexterity tasks--assembly and material handling, housekeeping, fire rescue, book organization--built around dirty, dangerous, and difficult scenarios. These range from powder weighing and picking up beans with tweezers to opening bottles.

51 events. 1,301 competitions. 666 teams from 16 countries. 2,056 humanoid robots on display.

Compared with the inaugural Games, the number of teams is up 138%, and the robot count has quadrupled.

Grok 4.6 is expected to release around August 7

• 1.5 trillion parameters
• Significantly improved supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning

Grok 4.7 will follow a few weeks later with 2.1 trillion parameters

It will be better than 4.6 in every way, with even greater token efficiency.....though slightly slower to serve
