@NFLonCBS Mark Rypien had 585 passing yards and five touchdowns in his first two starts:
* Week 4 1988 @ Phoenix Cardinals: 26/41, 303yds, 3TD, 1INT

@ShawnNason2071@Athenri @schwatd2 @JosieBedlam@BrianWKemper@reddit_lies That’s not the opinion of one Justice. That’s the opinion of the *court*; i.e. the majority ruling, i.e. the decision.
Further down are concurring opinions by justices agreeing w/ jdgmt, for dif. reasons, but Opinion of the Court *is* the Decision
@EmilKalinowski@StatsbyLopez my numbers differ slightly, but see below for 2014-2023, 2020-2023 (14-team postseason), and 2021-2023 (17-game season).
much smaller dataset, but yes: overall, more teams with 2 consecutive losses are making the playoffs; though fewer teams that *open* 0-2 are making it.
@StatsbyLopez Sorry; realizing I was counting ties as losses in some cases. Directionally the same, but 10 datapoints fall off when I remove ties Like I said, though: our numbers differ. I've got 12.5% (3/24) of W17-18 losses making the postseason; you show ~7.5%. Am I missing some teams?
@StatsbyLopez Okay, looked into it myself. Seems like ~14.6% of all teams that dropped two consecutive went on to play in the playoffs. Our numbers differ slightly, though--were you controlling for teams that lost *multiple* two-game stretches, or something like that?
it must genuinely suck if you're on hour 4 of playing candy crush and someone suddenly shoots you for no good reason and you look up and it's your co-worker
@Box_of_Joe@Mikefiggs@AlbertBreer NFL regular season games *averaged* 17.9 million viewers last year. The last time an NBA *Finals* game had that many viewers a was in 2019.
@ScienceIt1 @MrDrewHashtag @elonmusk@BillyM2k It doesn’t—it’s a comparison point. Checkers is a solved game: there is a known sequence of moves that guarantees one side won’t lose. That’s not true of chess, but Elon is stating that (despite num. of possible permutations making it unlikely) he thinks it *will* be w/in 10 yrs.
@madlabz “Earned”*, free, friday, first, hot weather, on the water, ballpark**, tailgate, shower, in that order, bump poker and “one more” off
*after strenuous work—a hike, moving, home improvement, etc
**baseball specific
@Chesschick01@KitWalker021475@pet_demo Offhand Elizabeth, Houston, LA, and Long Beach are all bigger.
Baltimore’s not even the largest port on the Chesapeake!
@TrumanChief No, it's (1) if a player played at least 35% in two of his first three seasons OR (2) he averaged at least 35% over *all three* seasons.
So if there's 1140 off. snaps in '24, Pacheco needs at least 278 to hit that 3yr cumulative avg.
(Watson's got it; I was looking at ST snaps)
