@Ric_RTP The premise that a workers wages should be correlated to their contribution to GDP as if that’s the only factor is nonsense. Did the worker risk capital? A workers wages should and are determined by supply and demand, let’s not over complicate this.
The “we’ll have to close your stations” threat from @SFBART was pure election blackmail—trying to panic voters into coughing up more tax dollars with doomsday PR of shuttered stops and slashed service.
Guess what? The public didn't buy the “More Money or Chaos” pitch!
Now BART is quietly backpedaling on those station closure threats, moving them to a later "option" phase after the backlash.
Time to get real, @SFBART:
- Renegotiate those bloated labor contracts instead of endless overtime giveaways
- Slash the top-heavy, unaccountable management layers
- Stop the fraud, waste and abuse and actually run like a business that respects taxpayer dollars
No more bailouts for bad management.
What do YOU think—should BART finally cut the fat before asking for another handout?

@garrytan Marxists know that merit is not compatible with Marxism so they destroy! And their brand of Marxism seeks to reward based on immutable characteristics or like ideology.
@bettersoma If any of our scumbag politicians in SF had this going on everyday at their front door, of course there would be change. Public safety and quality of life for the citizens of SF is not a concern for those in charge, what a disgrace!
@BrookeJenkinsSF You can both be better than Chesa but too slow fixing SF. ARREST THE HONDURAN DRUG DEALERS. There seems to be no sense of urgency, accept whatever help you can get from the Trump Administration and keep in mind, the help is for the lowly citizens, business owners and taxpayers!
@Bubblebathgirl@CollinRugg Absolutely 💯. And auditing of NGO’s is often poor to non existent, in some cases nothing more than a laundering scheme where corrupt individuals pig at the trough on the taxpayers dime!
When San Francisco files just ONE drug case in six months, it’s time to brutally honest: @DanielLurie and @SFDAOffice don’t want drug dealers off the streets. You can’t blame judges for this one.
@DemocraticWins The Dow was up 40% during his first term, it’s up 5% in the first 6 months of his second term. Nasdaq is up far greater than the Dow. Your assertion that Trump wealth is up 40% due to corruption is a smear without basis. So weak.
I see the recovery squad behind you minus Tom Wolf. I’m sorry I see this as another arm of the homeless industrial complex. It’s a business just like the opposite arm of luring drug tourists here with cheap drugs and free money is and allowing friedenbach to run interference and Chiu sitting back like a weak bag of jello. Someone has to pay for this. City keeps giving up real estate for programs and housing. Remember most of them are from elsewhere and did not have a job or home here. They contributed nothing to the city except doom and collapse. Why do we keep focusing on this and not doing much to bring business back? What about residents who continue to suffer?
.@DanielLurie post that he has pinned to his profile here on @x specifically uses the word “accountable.”
So who do we hold “accountable” for the drug dealing going on at Mission and 6th Street yesterday Mr. Mayor? Who do we hold “accountable” for the drug addicts folded over in the middle of the day on Market Street yesterday?
I got the photos, the receipts, who do we hold “accountable” for all this fentanyl still flowing through our city here on day 33 of your weak, do nothing “fentanyl state of emergency”?
@war24182236 posts videos of what a mess San Francisco is every day. Who should we hold “accountable” for this mess?
Your do nothing police chief Bill Scott? Or does the buck stop with you, the mayor of San Francisco?
1. Work with @RealTomHoman and deport the hondos. Be a leader. Admit that there needs to be a carve out in your “sanctuary city” for the drug dealers poisoning our citizens. How come a single politician in San Francisco doesn’t have the balls to say we should DEPORT drug dealers?
2. How hard is it to sweep these addicts off the street? They are literally a half a block away in BROAD DAYLIGHT from your new empty little holding pen at 6th and Jessie.
3. Hold the addicts for 72 hours in jail. Errect some barracks at all that empty land down at the San Bruno jail if you need to. 5150 every single one of them and upon release get them on busses OUT OF TOWN. Find out where they are from and send them home.
No more of this “give him time” crap either. We gave Gavin Newsom 20 years to fix this. We gave London Breed six years to fix this.
You don’t “give someone time” in a state of emergency. You get boots on the ground, the National Guard if you have to, and you address the “state of emergency. That’s what real leadership looks like. That’s what accountability looks like.
The buck stops with you Mr. Mayor.
