“I’ve stood on the sidelines as a coach completely broken, and people have still had a go”
Powerful message Matt wanted to share with us all.

Just a huge huge reason I really can't connect with the national team, from John Terry's racism when I was growing up and now having a team full of rapist sympathisers, just grim. I want djed Spence representing my country but the rest I just don't care
By the way, Thomas Partey being on that pitch because the USA allowed him entry but refusing a visa to so many fans is why this World Cup will always be a shambles.
Vile man.
Djed Spence has been largely disliked for a while for daring to show a bit of personality. Now he’s the only one who has shown some integrity. Some boy.
lol, look at the comments from fans of that man.
This is what a man gets for simply just not shaking his hand, imagine what it’s like for any victim of a high profile abuser.
Welcome to the 2026 World Cup where we will be discussing riveting subjects like "Should women talk football tactics?" and "Should men attend the birth of their children?".
Scenes that I never thought I would see, a Dance off between the Scottish and Haitians fans 🇭🇹🏴
This is what soccer is about, bringing people together and forgetting our differences. Love this!
Neville bemoaning Cherki’s keepy up’s the same week The Overlap pretty much summed up Neymar’s career as a glorified Taarabt sums up where some people want the game going.
Important to remember, football is a form of entertainment. It’s supposed to be FUN. LET THE BALLERS BALL!
“You wouldn’t see any of us take someone on, the ball would do the job for us.”

I know some people moan about how Wimbledon dominates television schedules but I find it fantastic that in 2025 it’s a sport available to millions rather than behind a huge paywall.
Arsenal have done well to flood the media with bids on Noni Madueke & Viktor Gyökeres in the hours since Thomas Partey was charged. I can't be the only one to find this extraordinarily convenient.
Easy and effective constraints I often use:
• Narrow but deep spaces to encourage movements behind.
• Big distance between possessor and receiver to facilitate the defender’s pressing run.
• Max 2 passes in the final third to force decisive actions and reach key areas.
Final Third | Out-to-In Diagonal Pass & Inside Penetration
An out-to-in diagonal pass draws the defender’s focus to the ball, turning their body and opening space behind.
Recognizing this pass is key to exploiting new gaps in the final third.
