• Big distance between possessor and receiver to facilitate the defender’s pressing run.

• Max 2 passes in the final third to force decisive actions and reach key areas.

An out-to-in diagonal pass draws the defender’s focus to the ball, turning their body and opening space behind.

Recognizing this pass is key to exploiting new gaps in the final third.
