@JasonDeBer43401@TheStaad Judas Iscariot also mentioned God and Jesus Christ as a savior to all people, doesn’t negate what he did. Point is, even Satan himself must acknowledge Christ and God so Hitler could as easily have done so to manipulate the people - as he most certainly did.
Amen. I continue to pray for an end to TC and a return to Benedict XVI’s policies. The younger Catholics yearn for the Traditional Catholic teachings. The only way forward is the past. The reforms of the 60s were not what the V2 documents called for. The Church must reconsider.
@ViewFromAS46610@DouchebagPJ@tradwife29 Your first outcome is factually incorrect. A simple google search would probably have saved you. Pre-1960 there were about 425 million Catholics world-wide. By 1980 that grew to 757 million. Today there is around 1.4 billion. As for loss of faith, way more to it than V2.
@aymardelairon@RorateCaeli Well one look at your account shows you posting other well known Protestant groups and churches doing this kind of thing and saying it’s Catholic (it’s not). So unless you can post the name of the church and the location I’m going to stick to you’re making this up.
@metathomist Anyone who has been paying attention to the SSPX over the last 3-5 years knew this is exactly where they were headed. Give it another 5-10 years and they will call an imperfect council and elect their own “pope.” Calling it now.
@MLJHaynes Are we sure Pagliarani isn’t German? He sure likes to reject the Church and Pope while keeping his version of the “true faith” intact while writing a thesis on his Profession of Faith and nailing it to the internet for all to see. Have we ever seen this before?
lol, watching the mental gymnastics of SSPXers trying to spin a lightening strike, rain, and thunder in Econe as a sign of God’s pleasure with what they have done while also espousing the lightening strike on St Peter’s when BXVI resigned was a sign of displeasure is too good.
So the SSPX literally declared themselves in schism before Rome even got around to it. 3-5 years from now they will call an imperfect council and elect their own “pope.” Heartbreaking to see.
Bp. de Galarreta, main consecrator, asked at the beginning of ceremonies:
"Do you have the apostolic mandate?"
The notary unrolled the scroll-like apparent bull and says: "It is the Catholic and Roman Church, ever faithful to the traditions received from the apostles, which, in utterly exceptional circumstances, demands of us that we provide for the safeguarding of these traditions—that is, of the deposit of faith—and that we adopt the necessary means to transmit them faithfully to all men for the salvation of their souls. From the Second Vatican Council until our own days, the authorities of the Church have been animated by a spirit contrary to the faith and have acted against the holy Tradition. They will no longer tolerate sound doctrine."
@midnitesun0 I’ll also throw out there that the SSPX position is not completely wrong. Heck, I agree with them on 90% of what they espouse. Especially the liturgy, pre-V2 teaching, and post V2 implementation of the reforms. But what they have done is wrong.
@midnitesun0 The SSPX didn’t just betray protocol, they betrayed the successor of St Peter who, himself, not Tucho, told them not to go forward with today. That is pure rejection of the Pope any way you slice it.
