A crucial policy of the Trump administration remains, and that is Cubaโs presence on the State Sponsors of Terrorism list. It is critical to Cubaโs ability to pursue economic, trade and humanitarian activities that it be removed immediately from the list https://t.co/m2qwfoSAWR
@fortressonahill@SkepticalVet@Truthdig And, no one in government or the Pentagon learned a damn thing from it! America has been in decline ever since, but the "defense" budget continues to grow.
@nickturse America needs to withdraw all money and arms, and pressure Ukraine to accept the terms Putin offered before all the death and destruction. Common people are worth more than corporate profits.
https://t.co/bN8nbHszFt The army, and the entire Pentagon, has misled the American public for decades. They have zero respect for the lives or cultures outside of the Pentagon walls, and cannot win because the common footsoldier falls victim to his conscience.
The January 6th Commitee show on Thursday evening was incredible. Seems to me there's only one way for AG Garland to go if the laws of our country mean anything. Donald Trump needs to spend some time in prison, NOT the oval office. But where is "mastermind" Stephen Miller?
@codepink@SecBlinken The Military Industrial Complex doesn't make any sales from negotiated settlements, and so they make smaller campaign contributions. We are in the business of death and destruction. Talk is for Colbert, Fallon, Kimmel, Leno, et al.
@MatthewPHoh I filled out the entire form, but when I hit the final button ("submit"?) I received a reply that the website was unable to process my donation. I wrote a check and put it into an envelope.
@matthewdmarsden If you choose to get in line like a sheep, that's fine. Just know that some other people read the news, like VAERS reports of adverse reactions. Far too frightening for me!
@fortressonahill@SkepticalVet@Antiwarcom Excellent article. Perhaps some of the obstacles between left and right can be overcome. This is an older article, but if I can help in any present-day efforts, please let me know.
@GregoryDaddis@SMH_Historians@WWIImuseum States is a curious choice of words, when what they mean to say is governments. Our Revolutionary War led to the creation of our country, or state, or central government. Ever since, that government has involved us in a seemingly endless succession of wars.
@nickturse@SaraJacobsCA @SecDef The simple fact is, the U.S. is in the business of death and destruction. Any show of compassion towards victims would serve to undermine our national identity and purpose. Congress wants to add $100 Billion to next year's "Defense" budget. Sorry, none left for reparations.
@TheOliverStone I certainly hope not. Biden isn't JFK, and Putin isn't Khrushchev. They were trying to achieve peace, while Biden is trying to make Wall Street richer.
@GregoryDaddis I've just finished reading The Afghanistan Papers by Chris Whitlock. It seemed to be extremely realistic. Will this book shed any more light on what really happened? Hope you're well. JK
@JasonAHiggins By author John Ketwig: ...and a hard rain fell, and Vietnam Reconsidered: The War, the Times, and Why They Matter. Both have been used by a number of colleges. "Reconsidered" is much more recent, published just before Covid arrived, and so not so well known.
