✅💡 very happy to have this paper finally out. Chris and I started working on this project in 2017…so great to get this across the line at last!

Congrats to @cjobara and @JLS_Lab for this very interesting study that uses single molecule tracking of VAPB to examine ER-mitochondrial contacts and protein mobility through the ER network.

🍻🍻🍻Well folks…some great news to share. Incredibly happy to announce that I’ll be starting my group @TheCIMR in Feb2024 with funding from a @wellcometrust CDA. A massive thanks to CIMR and my various mentors @ProfKHarvey, @JLS_Lab, Craig Blackstone and Peter St George Hyslop!
Check out this fascinating preprint about cilia in neurons, astrocytes, and oligodendrocyte precursor cells by our researchers (incl. @CollmanForrest, @JoJoBuchanan1, @AgnesLBodor), @JLS_Lab, and collaborators! 🔗 https://t.co/Md3WGb9Xnt
Excited to share our new paper on primary cilia in the brain! 🧠 We used advanced #EM volumes from #connectomics to study primary cilia structure and location in mouse visual cortex. They’re not just in neurons but also in astrocytes and OPCs! (1/2)
For all interested in 3D visualization, remember to sign up to Igor's webinar: https://t.co/NOBzHlJI70. He is going to show us how he does his magic! It's next week already 😱
New preprint from the Cohen lab! Led by @iawindham, we found that astrocyte #APOE can traffic to #LipidDroplets, where it modulates LD composition and size: https://t.co/u3qdPVNkLF 1/12
In our new preprint, we reported that endogenous YAP condensates are sensitive to Hippo pathway and cytoskeleton regulations. We also used single molecule tracking to find out that YAP condensates are viscous hubs that can slow down YAP diffusion. Congrats @SiyuanHao99 et al
Ever wanted to learn how to segment organelles in vEM? Or how we (@COSEMdata/@CellMapPT) generate training data for ML efforts? Look no further! You can find it all here in our recent protocol https://t.co/XU366Y4QYy #teamscience#projectteams#openscience
Our perspective on endoplasmic reticulum structure has now been published! In this review, we (@cjobara@JLS_Lab) examine the diverse nanoscale ER structures that have been described by light (see below) and electron microscopy.
