My heart is full. Here to celebrate little wins.

Every Saturday we clean Bamutakudde village together and it's beginning to pay off. Streets are cleaner, homes are cleaner, mindsets are changing. Today we agreed to start sorting waste: recyclables and non-recyclables. Recyclables will be sold, decomposing waste will feed our gardens.

I think @SolomonSerwanjj brings back the idea of what LC 1 chairman was envisaged in the late heady eighties when RCs were real political authority. The days when they ensured “essential goods” reached everyone equally & were shared fairly. When service was done for the public. We have started our 3 day retreat with the Bamutakudde LC1 committee members at the Nagalale Country house to work on a 5 year strategic plan for the village. We thank our facilitators the Director General of @afyanahakiug Prof @MulumbaMoses_ , and UNICEF consultant Patrick Banyengana. We are optimistic about the future of the village.

@MrBusinge So as the sector regulator, did/can he provide an update on the actual status? It’s likely he is not certain why they are not fully reopened despite the president’s clearance. These appear like safe responses given the circumstances. Meanwhile, did the CDF defy the CIC’s orders?
