@aginglybald@forallcurious I was just about to post that it's either bullshit or greatly exaggerated. Thanks for doing the research and letting us know. It's disturbing how many folks believe anything they read 🤦🏻
@AbulurdBoniface@CuriosityonX Current math for a stable wormhole indicates it'll take more power than exists in the visible universe.
"Experts" also claimed it was impossible to break the speed of sound
So between our ability to decimate what's possible & how we do, we will so be that drunk uncle 🤪
@konstructivizm The scientist in me sees all these "lucky breaks" the Earth received - the perfect tilt, oversized moon, our distance from a stable star, plate tectonics, strong magnetic shield, etc.
But it's difficult for me to know all this and not see the beautiful hand of a creator.
@DLaurier82891@konstructivizm Not a photo,an artist's rendering. It's 1400 light years away. If you could travel at the speed of light - 186,000 miles per SECOND, getting there would take 1400 years. With our current technology it would take roughly 25 million years to get there. I'm not exaggerating.
@BronGolfFL@CuriosityonX Alright then - how about this one? This is an ACTUAL PHOTOGRAPH - and every single point of light is.....a galaxy.
This is the JWST deep-field image:
@AbulurdBoniface@CuriosityonX all every human could do is look at their galaxy through a telescope. With current technology, neanderthals could have left Earth & they still wouldn't be anywhere near just leaving our own galaxy. Forget actually traveling to another galaxy. The universe is mind-melting huge 🌌
