@AlpacaAurelius I discovered recently that my psoriasis heals up when my skin is directly in contact with sunlight. You have to let it be in the sun for atleast 30min
@omooretweets She's a med school student but puts on a ton of chemicals on her body. This is the future. Thanks for telling your future clients that they might as well ask ChatGPT about their health than her lol
Your future self is begging you to start now.
I work in a clinic where I see the same pattern every day: patients in their 50s-70s with multiple chronic conditions that were mostly preventable.
The heartbreaking part? If I'd met them 20-30 years earlier, we could've changed everything.
Here's what I mean:
The 55-year-old with type 2 diabetes, neuropathy, and kidney disease who says "I wish someone had told me this mattered when I was 35 and just had prediabetes"
Prediabetes is a "diagnosis" that does more harm than good because no one takes it seriously.
The 62-year-old on 8 medications for conditions that all stem from metabolic dysfunction that started decades ago as "just a little weight gain" The pills further worsen their metabolic issues.
The patient who needs a knee replacement at 58 because chronic inflammation from diet destroyed their joints progressively over 25 years.
And the brutal truth? Most of these patients had warning signs in their 30s and 40s:
Slowly creeping weight
Worsening sleep
Increasing fatigue
"Borderline" lab values
Digestive issues
Mood changes
But those symptoms got dismissed. or medicated. or ignored. Because they weren't "serious" yet.
Prevention isn't sexy. It doesn't feel urgent. There's no immediate crisis forcing change.
But watching preventable disease unfold in slow motion over decades is one of the hardest parts of clinical practice.
If you're in your 30s or 40s reading this and think "I'm fine, I'll deal with it later" - later is more expensive, more painful, and way harder to reverse.
Your future self is begging you to start now.
That is why I am now doing private practice so I can help people avoid the horrors of chronic disease.
It's also why I blog about health and prevention. It's also why I write books about prevention and health optimization.
What if, just for one day, people dropped the left vs right political bitterness, and we all came together?
We could all do so much better if we supported each other. This is what Dems and Republicans used to do.
Everyone wants happiness for their families, security, joy, comfort, healthy food, and to care for the most vulnerable.
Why can't this be a possibility to work on these things together?
Sending all the wonderful hearts out there who also want this a big hug today.
Are humans defeating their own health by adding in artificial sweeteners?
They sneak into protein shakes, including popular ones on the market today like Premier, Core Power, Muscle Milk, Atkins, Glucerna, Ensure, GNC products, and many more.
Recent research shows that most artificial sweeteners create a biofilm with unhealthy bacteria like E. coli.
This biofilm is more likely to be toxic in the body and may make bacteria more likely to invade the gut lining.
Even more concerning are the possible effects of sucralose damaging the intestinal lining and possibly even leading to liver damage according to new animal research.
These effects were seen in the offspring of rats after their mothers were exposed to sucralose while pregnant.

Niacin, or vitamin B3, is very beneficial for your skin.
If you struggle with dry skin, it may be a sign of deficiency. To address this, fill your diet with vitamin B3-rich foods like avocados, mushrooms, wild-caught fish or grass-fed beef.

Just a reminder; your gut makes almost all of your melatonin.
If you have sleep issues, its root cause is not the need for a prescription to help you sleep.
Rather, it’s a lack of healthy gut.
Get optimal nutrients, avoid chemicals (choose organic), get probiotics, get magnesium, get exercise, avoid sugar.
Red meat is not the enemy.
Grass-fed, organic red meat is rich in protein, iron, and nutrients your body needs and it is not linked to cancer, heart disease, or diabetes.
It is time to stop blaming real food.
In 1996, the first genetically modified soybean (GMO soybeans) hit the market and our plates.
Regardless of what you think about GMO crops, this modification created a HUGE increase in the amount of chemicals that are used on soybeans.
In fact, the introduction of GMO soybeans has increased the amount of glyphosate (Roundup) by thousands of tons per year in our food supply.
Tofu is no exception. If you eat conventional tofu today, you are guaranteed to be eating a mouthful of chemicals. Research shows that there is a shocking level of 9 mg per kilogram of glyphosate in soy products.
This devastating chemical isn’t just bad for you. It is bad for the soil, for insects, and for the whole environment.
The research indicating that tofu is healthy is based almost exclusively on research that collected data before GMO soybean crops were introduced to our food supply.
Sadly, the long-term devastation of all of these chemicals put on foods like tofu may never be known.
But, if you do want to eat tofu, the only way to avoid heavy chemical use is to choose USDA organically-grown tofu.

Vitamin K2 deficiency is a global health problem and affects all ages because people rarely eat these vitamin K2-rich foods.
This critical vitamin even affects kids’ health by helping to support healthy bones and normal gut function.
Vitamin K2 helps the gut in the following ways:
➡️Vitamin K2 reduces inflammation in the gut, which in turn helps improve your overall health
➡️You benefit from vitamin K2 because it can reduce leaky gut and toxins
➡️Your microbiome can form vitamin K2 from vitamin K1 to a lesser or greater degree based on your gut health
➡️Digestive enzymes require vitamin K2 to be made
➡️Vitamin K2 helps balance out immune responses in the gut and otherwise
➡️It is hard to maintain adequate vitamin K2 levels due to rare food sources
➡️Losses of vitamin K1 and vitamin K2 are greater when you have gut inflammation or bowel disorders
➡️Early research shows that vitamin K2 may help reduce the risk of colon cancer and liver cancer
➡️Some medications can rob your body of vitamin K1 and K2
