Economic Marxian.
Please don't cite 19th Century social theory to me, no matter the author--it was likely problematic even in context.
I'll try to be nice.
@fredrick_d31586@NoLieWithBTC 1) Have a job with a living wage & paid leave, as well as a requirement of 90 days termination notice--largely thanks to collective bargaining and union actions.
2) Cancer is not a disease with a singular cause--again, something I shouldn't have to explain to a chiropractor.
@havoc_211@Angry_Staffer I mean, if you completely ignore the century of administrative law underpinning the Federal Reserve Act, sure...
...though, it's technically more recent than the 14th Amendment, so you might have a point.
@ZombiApocolypse@Halo5Official @rude_stevie @RepMikeCollins I wish I were surprised, but I remember the Regan administration.
And, in all fairness, they have somehow 'pushed' beyond their previous records of shameless incoherence & cruelty...
@fredrick_d31586@NoLieWithBTC Yes, a 'cure' for cancer.
That's definitely a plausible goal, and doesn't signal a fundamental misunderstanding of medicine and disease, especially cancer...
[I hope I'm not saying this for the chiropractor, but the people who read this as such]
@EverydayFinance@mattyglesias Both?!
I mean, that is the hallmark of post-Regan Neolibralism, isn't it--make the situation exponentially worse, while somehow making sure the worst parts stick around long after your death?
It's just they've now done away with the veneer of coherence or connection to reality.
@ZombiApocolypse@Halo5Official @rude_stevie @RepMikeCollins So, an exemplar of the people who voted for this administration.
I'm going to go fill my pockets with stones and walk into the River Ouse.
@undrgroundgoats @brook_d_walker @EsheruKwaku Correct.
The one on the left is a call for the US to live up to its ideals.
The one on the right is the US living up to what it was all along.
@brook_d_walker @EsheruKwaku Walz did a hand wave following a pat of his chest;
He was actually waving at a crowd.
Musk did a Sieg Heil--that's all it was.
All 'added context' just solidifies the fact it was only that.
If you can't see the difference, you might be a...
@rude_stevie @kaliacantha @RepMikeCollins Why not, then, accept a nation with many gods? Many faiths make up the US, so likewise inclusion would only strengthen the nation you speak of...
@merrylynn06@RepMikeCollins So, how do you define 'Bishop' then?
(She's been the Bishop of Washington since the Obama administration; though feel free to write to your local diocese if you're confused about that...or general human compassion in general)

@rayne_essence @JoshuaPHilll The point is this is a headline--not a reported story.
Most news stories are nothing like their headline.
I think firing somebody should be extremely difficult (I live in Luxembourg--2 mos min for most cases).
Even in the US this makes no sense, though--that's the point.
@ramonalavery @LawLOLZ What about having trans women in women's restrooms is a 'safety threat'?
Whose 'rights' are you protecting? Women from other women?
Or are these 'women' just not the right kind of women?
What about women with Swyer's syndrome? Other intersex people?
@ramonalavery @estuaryandhills@LawLOLZ Again, people who have legitimate reason to use it for one reason or another--not forced, but are welcome to.
But people who don't need to who can just as simply go into the under-accommodating restrooms and get done what they need to get done should be able to do that as well.
