JP+ 2026 Preseason Power Ratings now final, see the Top 25 below. I personally think Texas Tech too high, Miami too low, ND too low
The rest I am somewhat ok with, the gap between 1 (OSU) and 25 (Clemson) is only 15.5 and 10-25 only 8.7
JP+ power ratings will be posted weekly on Sundays along with some post game win expectancy metrics I've developed. Around Week 10, I'll get my chance to yell at the CFP Committee using my own Resume Ratings as well
All power ratings, picks and metrics are all available on https://t.co/ZqRs9aUY99
Anyone interested can also track my performance on the CFB Metrics Dashboard that @PDawg206 diligently publishes as well as the @CFB_Data Pick 'Em Contest
I can't overstate my appreciation for folks like Bill Radjewski @CFB_Data making a wealth of data available and accessible for people to make cool things and uncover analytics insights: https://t.co/8t8aYfTleD
Great start to Week 0 for JP+
2-0 ATS on Production Bets
- NMSU +30.5 (never in doubt, thanks Norvell)
- EMU -7.5 (got sweaty at the end)
w/ Memphis & UNLV still going (and Jackson Arnold balling out...)
6-1 SU
5-2 ATS
11 MAE
Near the top of the @CFB_Data Pick 'Em leaderboard
As always everything available at https://t.co/ZqRs9aUY99
@CFB_Data Indiana at 8.4 wins seems very low relative to market consensus. 32% vs OSU at home, implied +7 seems quite high, OSU -10 vs IU on a neutral just feels wrong/off-market and would get bet down insanely hard
As a reminder I build all my projections and metrics off a the Power Rating from the first entry in this thread
That is built as an Adjusted Standardized Consensus of 9 Models
