A strong thunderstorm over Melbourne is pushing northeast bringing wind gusts to 50 mph and pea size hail. Palm Bay, Satellite Beach, and Indialantic could see downed limbs and tossed objects. Move indoors now and secure anything loose outside.

6/8: Ochopee's seismograph picked up seismic activity from the earthquake that occurred just west of Cuba at 2PM.

6/8 | A 6.1 magnitude earthquake occurred at approximately 2PM 73 miles WNW of Mantua, Cuba. Reports of shaking from the earthquake have been felt in at least the Orlando, Melbourne, Jacksonville, and Miami areas. There is no Tsunami threat. #FL
Update: Shaking has been felt across much of Florida in the aftermath of the 6.1 magnitude quake just west of Cuba.

7:40pm 6/3 | Much drier air continues to filter down the peninsula. Dew points from Orlando and points northward are refreshingly low, in the 50s! Quiet conditions are expected overnight with cooler temps in the 60s over the interior by morning.
