BTS DC joins BTS Baltimore for a quick road trip. Chicago here we come!
Thank you to all our supporters who made this journey possible https://t.co/4VFo23Qn4A
For over 30 years, high schoolers in D.C. public schools didn’t have the opportunity to wrestle. A few years ago, @WWHSWrestlingDC started a club team.
But now after efforts from @BTSWashingtonDC, wrestling is back as a varsity sport. For @WashPostHS:

“I made it my mission to do everything I could to get that changed.”
But nothing was changing. And one reason why was because people believed a girl on the wrestling team could hurt St. John's ability to recruit "alpha males."

@CoachGJones Seek controlled struggle (sports, physical training, fasting, reading, meditation, etc.) to try and gain ground on things like discipline, focus, and self/ control. In hopes that when true, uncontrolled, suffering happens they have the hardened character to overcome.

Today is Juneteenth, a celebration of the day the people of Galveston, Texas, learned that enslaved African Americans had been freed. We are grateful that Juneteenth has been designated as the eleventh American federal holiday as of this Thursday.
