@ListerLawrence It was very poignant. He had a stroke 6 months later and I took the car to show him in hospital..he could no longer speak or walk but you could see happiness in his eyes..sadly he never came home.
I needed a car to secure my first job too, so the Fiesta also started my career.
@AvonandsomerRob My XR2, brand new on 1.3.1988, E181 JCP.
Black, with pepper pot alloys and Inadded fog lights and changed the red piping on bumpers to silver. It was a brilliant car covered 50,000 plus miles, in just 18 months.
@ListerLawrence Buy cheap, buy twice. I've seen a few social media posts mentioning software issues on these. My gut feel would be to reject whilst that's still an option and start again with a different brand.
@Livesnooker I was there for this match. Nigel played very well in the preceding frames and it was such a shame he lost under such circumstances. For me the shot clock and black ball shoot outs have been bad for this tournament by reducing strategic thinking and having a last frame decider.
@MAMentoring I've been 2 an early round of the World Championship 3 years ago. That was an amazing experience. For me the seniors at the Cruicible is a good thing for snooker, but the blackball finish and timer are bad, they remove time 4 strategic thinking & add more pressure. Must be 4 TV?
@mnine1 Mine was E181 JCP in black, with the pepper pot alloys, brilliant car covered 50,000 plus miles in it in just 18 months.
My C reg was a 950 popular, rosso red, heated rear screen, mudflaps and car mats and a full tank as first ever car. C868 HHDβ¦.
@2147mill I was offered a similar deal to this by @BMW Telford in 2017, when I looked in detail at the interest charges and other costs I decided to buy it outright and owed it for a 5 years. I got an OK price trading in for another, when I again bought for cash. Much cheaper than finance.
@MttRbnsn@HondaUKPR Itβs nice to see a new saloon car coming through rather than a SUV. This almost looks like a Mondeo and at first glance I really like it.
@historyrock_ IMO River Plate 2009 was AC/DCs absoloute peak live performance, post Bon and before Mal's sad health decline and with Cliff and Phil still powering the engine room. Absolutely sublime performance on every track with an amazing crowd. I'll never tire of watching this πΈπ₯π€π€
