After a thorough review of the Ledger vulnerability, we have determined that Flare Network users were unaffected and no funds on either chain (Songbird/Flare) were compromised.

We immediately responded by pausing the FlareStake GUI, the Flare Portal, and disabled the ‘write’ feature on the block explorers.

Ledger has since successfully deployed a fix.

We plan to redeploy the FlareStake GUI and FlarePortal dApps on Friday December 15th at 12:00 PM UTC. We will restore the ‘write’ tab on our Blockscout explorers after 48 hours passes from when the security issue was discovered, to allow Ledger a little more time to study the exploit and ensure there are no further attacks.

The safety of Flare Network users is the upmost priority and we appreciate the community’s patience.
