@Oilfield_Rando Seriously. They should be celebrating the Renewable Family, or if they want to be specific, the Solar Family or the Wind-Powered Family.
@lisavsworld Hope springs eternal!
I'll pray that reality doesn't intrude too deeply into your world, and you get to do many of those actions on your lists. Most people have to be retired to do that, and then we're not so eager to actually DO stuff!
@StuffForSisters Social Security is actually (by the legislation) a budget obligation. The "Trust Fund" is an accounting figment, as all of that money has been transferred into the general budget and spent. The payments will continue as required, but the separate fictional source will not cover.
@TempusMalleo Similar to MS Office examples, YEARS ago I bought (no subscription, purchased!) a copy of Adobe Acrobat 2017. It does everything involved in editing and creating PDFs correctly. A couple years ago Adobe started trying to get me to switch. No blessed way!
@johnkonrad My initial thought (which would lead up to the question you pose) is it doesn't matter how big that ship is, the ocean will be bigger, stronger, and meaner. Unless it can hide when weather happens, or never wanders out of "safe" areas, disaster WILL happen.
@DavidJohnButler@RykerJackson97 Don't dismiss your abilities to dea death - after all, we've seen you kill plots with alacrity!
<Turns and runs for safety...>
Here's another happy dude who received his American Paladin Invictus edition (by @monsterhunter45) today. The physical quality of the book (and box, and dust jacket, and sweet little storage drawer) is absolutely top notch! I'm going to delay some enjoyment by waiting until dark to whip out my UV light.
@lisavsworld I do understand at least basic quantum mechanics (I can do a particle-in-a-box calculation), but I have never tried to look at the Bible through a quantum lens. Going to have to give it a try.
@LadyDemosthenes I choose which supermarket near me (there are MANY to choose from) I shop at by local ordinance. If the township has outlawed plastic bags, I won't do a big shopping trip in those supermarkets, and it's a real patchwork.
@CyborgPeds One summer job at college (in Pittsburgh) a delivery of mattresses arrived. The Housekeeping head was from deep, rural Alabama. The driver was from deep, working class South Boston. We were a couple of midwestern boys translating from English to English.
@ingelramdecoucy Fortunately we don't have to worry about some organization "curating" which performers/writers were truly great, and which were a mere flash in the pan. I still use the example that on any college frat row on a warm fall weekend, you'll hear "Stairway to Heaven" at least once.
@WatcherontheWeb If you're primarily, or (especially) exclusively, selling your crawfish, B is the only choice. The others could be interpreted as "We run the business from here, but import our seafood from the coast."
@lukei4655 I'm so old I remeber it being called a Mass of Anticipation.
And now Tim Curry 's voice just popped into my head. I should probably do so Hail Marys, just in case.
@Strangeland_Elf Apiece of granite weighing one stone would be about the size of a one quart carton. Maybe the guy on the far right could be a stone stone, hard to tell with no scale (and no, not the weighing kind).
