New study led by @JShadrick6 finds that cliff retreat rates will increase by up to an order of magnitude by 2100 through sea level rise and even historically stable rock coasts will be highly sensitive to sea level rise. https://t.co/o6exKs7usa
Sea level rise to dramatically speed up erosion of rock coastlines, finds new research led by @SSCP_DTP's @JShadrick6
"Humanity can directly control the fate of our coastlines by reducing emissions. The future of our coasts is in our hands" - Dr Rood

🚨New Paper Alert🚨
#ClimateChange and #SeaLevel rise are expected to dramatically speed up #erosion of rock #coastlines by 2100🌊
This research was led by ESE and @SSCP_DTP PhD student @JShadrick6 with ESE MSci coauthors Beth Hebditch and Alex Seal👏

Since it’s #CarersWeek just thought I’d say that students in full time education aren’t allowed carers allowance and how insane I find that. ok back to thesis writing ✌️
I’m presenting in session V33B at #AGU21 today at 13.05 CST (19.05 GMT) talking about the role mush reservoir processes play in the source, size and frequency of large-scale silicic eruptions. 🌋
You can watch my recorded talk on YouTube: https://t.co/mm2YvwBEhr ☺️
A new study led by ESE PhD Jenny Shadrick on UK coastal erosion & #SeaLevel rise is published in @EGU_ESurf! 🚨
The findings provide motivation for further research on how past & future sea level rise affects cliff retreat at sites across the globe 🌍

New paper out just in time for AGU 2021! Check it out to see how we use 10Be data and model optimisation to better understand how cliff retreat rates respond to sea level rise 🌊🌊🌊
New research article: Multi-objective optimisation of a rock coast evolution model with cosmogenic 10Be analysis for the quantification of long-term cliff retreat rates https://t.co/MwtV43dAmd
Discussion open for comments: Multi-objective optimisation of a rock coast evolution model with cosmogenic 10Be analysis for the quantification of long-term cliff retreat rates https://t.co/Bv8Z3XKDIo
New preprint! We use 10Be and topo data to optimise a rock coast evolution model. Working with @MartinDHurst and many others on this exciting project. Some interesting results related to cliff retreat rates and sea level rise! All feedback is welcome 🌊https://t.co/BYqo5s4OLB
I can finally share some of our successes at @EnerpolyAB! We’re working with new battery tech and going from strength to strength ☺️
Please share/RT, it’s good to see that the long long lab shifts and my impending caffeine addiction are making an impact.
One of the most stressful aspects of doing a PhD which no one talks about... having to BAKE it. 12 hours, 13 cakes, many failed cakes, one burn, one accidental scrambled egg, one bottle of wine (each), food colouring stains, icing sugar everywhere. @JShadrick6 and I survived 💪💪
A little bit of advice please! I help run meetings for my research group. Usually we get someone to present their work, but everyone has presented recently 😬😂. What else could we do in a research group meeting? Like what do you find useful to do with your research group? 😊
This book focuses on representation and empowerment of children in volatile home situations and part of it is intended to show how social care can be a positive and normal thing.
It's coming out tomorrow and I could not be more proud!
