@gooding_ray please see the following from highways regarding the diversion down Snakes Lane in Ugley - this is a single track lane that is getting hammered daily by HGVs ripping chunks off trees and ruining verges. Highways think this is a viable diversion route.

@JStrachan15 @JStrachan15 Hi Jessica, the diversion route has been approved by our permit officers as the roads on the route are of the same class as the road which has been closed. Unfortunately, we are unable to police unsuitable vehicles from using this route. Regards Graham.

@essexhighways can someone URGENTLY review the official diversion avoiding works on Pound Lane, Ugley Green? Sends huge volumes of traffic (inc HGVs) down a single track lane, ignoring 6’6” rules and causing massive congestion and damage to trees and verges.
