@TVietor08@AbdulElSayed Life is complicated for sure, I’m just saying we had a senate candidate on the ballot in Michigan in November of 2024 and she did better by positioning herself to Biden’s right on immigration and electric cars not to his left on Israel.
It can be appealing to attribute this to the handful of liberal bills vetoed, but in reality Spanberger has governed as a partisan—signing a raft of long stalled Democratic priority legislation into law and then getting tangled up with the failed redistricting effort.
In short, she’s got anger in the base and has burned a lot of her crossover appeal in a state that still has lots of Republicans. And so here we are.
