Our Special Recognition Award goes to Pauline Fielding (1945 – 2023). Pauline was an active member of the Merseyside Police Independent Advisory Group and an avid road safety campaigner after her 18-year-old son, Andrew, was killed in a road traffic collision in 1994. Following Andrew’s death, Pauline has successfully fought hard for changes at the junction where the collision occurred to reduce the speed limit from 60mph to 40mph. Through her work with @RoadPeace, alongside another bereaved member, Merseyside Police decided to assign Family Liaison Officers to those bereaved through road crashes. Rest in Peace Pauline and thank you for your tremendous work. #CFA2023
